Hi

I am moving to South-Korea next year to study. The university I want to go to (Hanguk university) doesn't allow me to stay more than a week after I finished my semester (end of June). I would like to stay in South-Korea for the summer to explore the country. I was wondering if it would be possible to change my student visa to a tourist visa while being there, without having to leave the country.

Thank you in advance for your reply.

Hi there

Whether or not you can change your visa from within South Korea will likely depend on your personal situation and nationality. Our guide to Visas for South Korea has an overview of the different types of visa you may be eligible for, but I would suggest you contact your nearest local embassy and ask them directly.

Hope this helps!
