I am being offered a Financial Controller profile by a company in Luanda. I am a CA from India and have about 15 years of post qualification experience with big MNC's in India. Some couple of hours research tells me that the package should include housing, food , a car, health insurance and one trip to home country every year.
That I am being given. My question to all friends who are in the know is " How much USD should one ask for as a saving. I am told this will be deposited in my account in the home country by the company every month".
Another question is " Do the companies that employ you take your passport"? I am told it is a practice in some countries.
Thanks a ton and God Bless

Hi P,
I can't provide any information about how much you should be earning but I'd be suspicious of any company that wants to take your passport away.
You might be able to find salary comparisons online and this Expat Arrivals page on working in Angola might give you insights about working in the country.
